Anime Boston parking Valet Parking Although valet parking is by far the easiest solution, it's also the most expensive. Valet parking is currently available to hotel guests at a charge of $32.00 per night. You can find the valet on the Columbus Avenue side of the hotel. (Rates as of Feb 10, 2004) Motor Mart Garage The Motor Mart Garage is a block from the hotel, but also quite expensive. As of this writing, the self parking fee is $24.00 per night. The garage entrance is on Stuart Street. Rates as of October 7, 2002: 2 - 10 hours: $16 10 - 12 hours: $18 12 - 20 hours: $20 20 - 24 hours: $24 Boston Common Garage The Boston Common Garage is about three blocks away, but worth the walk to save a lot of money. The garage entrance is on Charles Street across from the Public Garden. Please note that parking access is limited to vehicles less than 6'3" in height. Rates as of April 6, 2004: Up to 1 hr: $5 Up to 2 hrs: $10 Up to 3 hrs: $15 Up to 9 hrs: $16 Up to 12 hrs: $17 Maximum 24 hr charge: $23 Evening Rate: Enter the Garage after 4pm and exit before 10am: $10 Weekend Rate: Enter after 6am Saturday or Sunday and exit by 10am the next morning: $10 Enter after 6am Saturday and exit by 10am on Monday: $20 Alewife Garage If you're on a tight budget, don't have too much to carry, and won't need your car until you leave, you may consider parking at the MBTA garage at Alewife (located at the intersection of Route 2 and Route 16). It's at the northwest end of the Red Line. Parking only costs $4.50 per day and a subway ride is $1 per person each way. It's about a 45 minute subway ride. (Don't worry, the T is safe...but it closes early at around 12:30 am each night.) Garage height clearance is 7'2". Rates as of April 6, 2004: Flat rate: $4.50 per day Subway fare: $1.25 each Riverside Lot Like Alewife, this is outside the city at the end of the subway line. It's located at Exit 22 off of Route 128/I-95. From Riverside, you can take the Green Line's "D" train directly in to the Arlington stop. It also takes about 45 minutes, so leave yourself plenty of time...and make sure you get a "D - Riverside" train when you're headed back. Parking here costs $2.75 per day (with a maximum of 7 days.) However, the subway fare is $2.50 per person (in coins or tokens) inbound, but just a $1 token on the return trip.
